As a continuation of LGRDP II objectives in supporting the territorial development integration between the Local Authorities (LAs), Bartaa Municipality and 6 other village councils signed an MoU for joint service provision. The MoU aims to improve the quality of service in terms of solid waste, water, building and licensing, electricity, and community engagement activities focusing on youth and women.

The signed MoU keeps the political representation of the LAs and improves the service provision in a bottom-up approach that meets the LAs needs and the territorial development process.

During the last three years, the joint efforts of the European Union, Enabel and the IPCC targeted the institutional development of Bartaa Municipality, capacity development activities, improve service provision within Bartaa Municipality (tools, equipment’s, systems, others…) in addition to better engagement of community especially women and youth.
