A 5-day training of 33 Gender Based Violence service
providers was concluded on 30th October 2020 in Karongi District,
Western Province.
With Enabel’s technical and financial
assistance,
via Barame Health project, in partnership with Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC), staff from 22 Health
centers participated in this training,
including 28
nurses and 5 community and environment health officers.
Trainees acquired more insights in GBV case screening and management while improving on referral system to timely provide comprehensive and adequate services to GBV victims.
The
training was organised with regards to reinforce the functioning of GBV
services at health center level, a strategy to improve on service accessibility
at decentralized level.
